Bellavolent announces her new single “Holding It Down” produced by Luke Villemur out Friday, June 18th. She first began recording the track on Frank Sinatra’s vintage mic at Capitol Records in the same studio Halsey records in. The nostalgia laden track seamlessly fuses pop melodies with electronic soundscapes to convey an empowering message highly suitable for the challenging times that society currently faces. Bellavolent describes the message behind the song as “an anthem for everyone who knows what it feels like to hold it down, make change, to lift others up and to never let people give up on their dreams.” The song starts with some dreamy versus’, a dynamic pre-chorus that then builds to a powerful chorus and eventually to a bridge that showcases the song’s raw beauty. “Holding It Down” as a powerful anthem is sure to spread hope and shed light at a time when it is much needed. To support the release of “Holding It Down,” Bellavolent will release an American Sign Language lyric video on June 25th, an Acoustic video July 2nd and the official music video on July 9th with a string of other videos and insights throughout her musical campaign. She will also be having a release party for Holding it Down at the Mint in Los Angeles on August 5th.
